Do the Platinum Electric Marine outdoor heating appliances come with a controller?
No, the controllers can be purchased as an additional accessory.
Can I install the Platinum Electric Marine built-in heater myself?
No, the built-in heater must be installed by a licensed technician.
What is radiant heat?
Radiant heat refers to the transfer of heat from a warm surface to cooler objects or people through electromagnetic waves, primarily in the form of infrared radiation. This type of heating doesn’t rely on heating the surrounding air but instead warms objects and occupants directly, similar to the sun.
Are the heaters waterproof?
Our Platinum Electric Marine outdoor heaters are made from premium 314 stainless steel and IPX5 rated, and therefore water-resistant (low-pressure water jets). However, Bromic does recommend that they are best mounted under cover and not directly exposed to rain and salt mist to ensure they maintain their aesthetic appeal.
What built-in mounting options are available?
The outdoor heating appliances can be either wall mounted, pole mounted or recessed into the ceiling. Each heating appliance is supplied with a 203mm stainless steel pole. Built-in recessing kits and longer poles for high ceilings can be ordered separately. Please refer to our instruction manual or contact our friendly design team to find out which installation and height is right for you.
Can Platinum Marine outdoor heaters be left on all night?
While the Bromic Platinum built-in heaters are designed for extended outdoor use, it is generally not recommended to leave any outdoor heating appliance on overnight for safety and energy-efficiency reasons. We recommend turning off the Platinum outdoor heaters when not in use and following the installation manuals for safe operation and maintenance. If you require extended heating, consider using a timer or one of the Bromic control options to regulate the heating appliance’s operation based on your specific outdoor heating requirements
How hot do Platinum Marine outdoor heating appliances get?
How much heat Platinum Marine appliances emit depends on a variety of factors, including the wattage in use, mounting height, climate, space layout, and more. Can I use Platinum Marine built-in outdoor heaters in an enclosed space?
