Infrared outdoor heaters are a type of radiant heater, and the terms are often used interchangeably. They emit infrared energy, a form of electromagnetic radiation similar to the heat of the sun, which warms people and objects directly rather than the surrounding air.
Because they do not rely on heating air, infrared (radiant) heaters are highly effective in outdoor environments, unlike convection heaters, which have little to no impact outdoors.
Bromic outdoor heating appliances are made to withstand the elements. Our heaters are IP-rated and have been tested to withstand water tolerance, ensuring durability when exposed to rain. While it’s generally not recommended to leave restaurant patio heaters exposed to the elements for extended periods, Bromic outdoor heating appliances are certified for outdoor use and are designed to handle the elements, whether covered or not.
